As a mom I love to find unique items for my kids, whether that’s a new outfit or special gift. And as a fellow entrepreneur I love supporting locally owned businesses whenever I can. We all know that Target, Walmart and Carter’s are some major go-to spots for moms. And that’s great – they have things that many smaller shops couldn’t carry. However, if you are in the market for a specialty item, a carefully curated gift or a one of a kind outfit, locally owned baby and children’s stores cannot be beat.

Here are some of my favorite locally owned children’s and baby stores:

Kyds Boutique (Neptune Beach) – This is such an adorable shop for baby and children’s clothing and accessories. Florida chic for every season, they’ll help you put together an adorable outfit in no time.

Declaration & Co (St. Augustine) – While this isn’t strictly a children’s store, they have a sweet collection of baby and small children’s clothing and gift items. They also sometimes do pop-ups with other locally owned children’s brands (such as @shopgoldies_kids).

HeyDay! (San Marco and Jax Beach) – beloved toy, gift and clothing store in San Marco has now expanded to a second location in Jax Beach. Perfect for toys, gifts, and boutique clothing lines (such as Tea Collection and Rylie + Cru), HeyDey! is a wonderful additions to both neighborhoods.

Toytopia (Nocatee) – recently opened toy store in Nocatee, Toytopia, has the perfect gift for baby’s and children of all ages. They have a wonderful collection of thoughtfully selected toys, games, puzzles, figurines and gifts. You are bound to find more than you were looking for!

Olde Town Toys (St. Augustine) – a dedicated toy store located in downtown St. Augustine, Olde Town Toys is perfect for finding gifts for all ages. Even better, they have tons of toys that your kids can touch and play with and try out, before you buy!
