When I was a kid my mom used to dress my sister and I in matching outfits, usually hand made by my grandma (this was the 80’s after all). Before I had kids I would roll my eyes at those matching outfits from the past, silently judging and swearing I would NEVER do that to my kids. We are all perfect parents when we don’t have kids, isn’t that right? Fast forward a decade or so and now I find myself with two little girls nearly the same age difference as my sister and I are. And guess what? Damn straight I dress them in matching outfits, as often as I can (particularly for holidays and sessions with our family photographer)!! HA!

It all really does come full circle, doesn’t it? The mom to these two little cuties must be thinking along the same wave length as I am – and how sweet do they look in their matching dresses?? Matchy matchy forever and ever…or at least until our kids get old enough to protest! We had a wonderful time together playing down by the Deschutes River and going for little hikes. I had so much fun with this super sweet family. And of course, this amazing town that we live in never disappoints for a beautiful background!
