February is the month of love, right?Valentine’s day in our house is a flurry of excitement. Paper valentines, heart stickers galore and as much candy as Easter and Halloween. There are so many awful things going on in our country right now, I thought it might be fun to do a post that focuses on LOVE. Love is all around. Sometime’s it’s hard to see. It’s snack bowls and sticky hands, dirty diapers and falling asleep in front of the tv with your partner. The late night feedings, one more snack and that all too rare date night. Lots of snuggles in the family bed and it’s checking in on your sleeping kids just *one more time*. Piggy back rides and tickle fights. Boo-boos and bandaids and little kisses to make it all ok.It’s true what they say, my friends. The days are long but the years are short. Take it in. Revel in the messiness and chaos and sticky everything. (But take a break when you need one. If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of anyone else) Capturing love – in all shapes and sizes and forms – is one of my favorite parts of this incredible job. And I’m not even a wedding photographer! Surely my heart would explode if I ended up in that field.
