Extended Family Photography Session - Jacksonville, FL

Have I mentioned before how much I love photographing extended family sessions? I love seeing big families interact, hearing their stories and seeing grandparents with their grandchildren. I think there is something so special - and slightly chaotic! - about vacationing with your entire extended family. It deserves to be documented!

I know that, sadly, a lot of families had to cancel their big family vacations and reunions in 2020. Luckily this family was able to make it work. They figured out a smart, and safe, way for them to all be together. Since they already live near each other and were already in each others "bubbles", it made it much easier to just move locations for a week. I hope that many more families are able to safely travel and have those big get togethers in 2021.

This family was so much fun to work with. They were really relaxed, super playful and there was a ton of laughter. What is the number one thing I tell my clients that will make their photo session a success? RELAX! These guys did such a great job and it shows in their photos. Natural smiles, heartfelt interactions.

If you haven't been to Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, Oregon I highly recommend the trip! You can stay in their hotel, condos or rent a full house. Perfect for any size gathering. The beautiful fields, forests, lakes and views of the mountains are really something special.

Parents, grandparents, cousins, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. This is what families are made of. Let's celebrate that! If you would like to learn more about booking extended family sessions please email me using the contact page. I happily photograph families staying in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, St John and St Augustine.
