Family Photography Session at Fort Clinch

I want to start a series of blog posts that highlight some of my favorite locations in and around Jacksonville and St. Augustine to family photography session. First up in this new series is Fort Clinch.

Located at the northern tip of Amelia Island, down the road from Fernandina Beach, this location is nothing short of spectacular. What I love about this location for family photography sessions is that it has so much variety in a relatively small space.

This beautiful family came to visit Jacksonville during the holidays and wanted to have family photos taken while they were here. You would never know it but the weather was FREEZING the day of their session! Luckily the sun was shining so we pressed forward with the session. We spent the first part of their family photography session relatively sheltered underneath this gorgeous tree canopy. This is, hands down, my favorite park of Fort Clinch. How stunning are the trees, the hanging moss, and that beautiful lighting??

We then moved to the second location, just a short walk away, to the beach. It was quite windy (and freezing cold) when we got there but they soldiered on! We made the wind work in our favor and kept the girls cuddled in a fuzzy blanket to stave off too many complaints about being cold.

If you are looking for a unique location for your next Jacksonville Family photography session, I highly recommend Fort Clinch! The scenery and variety of backgrounds make it an A+ location in my book!
