Relax Dining Out At 5 Kid-Friendly Restaurants In Jacksonville

When you are a parent, you quickly realize all the things you took for granted. Yes, of course, your life is better now that your child is around, but it’s also different. Like, remember all those times you decided on a whim to go out to eat? Spend all day at brunch with bottomless mimosas? Yeah…me too. Those trips out to eat now take a little more planning and a lot more patience. Lucky for you, we have restaurants in this area that are designed for diners of all ages. As a Jacksonville family photographer, I adore working with families to create memories they’ll want to keep for years to come. Here are the kid-friendly restaurants in Jacksonville I always recommend to my clients!

Don’t Stress Bringing Out Your Clan With These Kid-Friendly Restaurants In Jacksonville

The Local

4578 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207

The Local has two kid-friendly restaurant locations where your Jacksonville family will feel right at home. This restaurant focuses on creating exceptional food in a laid back atmosphere. They provide you with fresh dishes prepared using global inspirations. I always suggest swinging by for a brunch where kids will get their choice of dishes like waffles and chicken tenders.

The Avondale Brick

3585 St. Johns Ave, Jacksonville, Florida 32205

The Avondale Brick has one of the best brunches around! Each Saturday and Sunday, you can stop in for perfectly prepared meals like smoked salmon benedict or filet & eggs. Jacksonville kids are also going to be spoiled with restaurant options like creme brulee French toast or pancakes. And while their brunch might be a local favorite, their dinner menu is also pretty great.

The Bearded Pig

1808 Kings Ave, Jacksonville, Florida 32207

If you are in the mood for some really good barbecue, The Bearded Pig is your spot. They take their inspiration from classic Texas fare, bringing you slow-cooked meat. They also have worked hard to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. You can enjoy a drink on the patio while your child runs around in the grass or doodles on the giant chalkboard. It’s the best place to spend a few hours with the ones you love the most!

Midtown Table

5016 Gate Pkwy, Jacksonville, Florida 32256

The creators of Midtown Table designed this Italian-inspired restaurant in Jacksonville with kid-friendly vibes in mind. They wanted to create a stress-free meal spot where everyone can enjoy some delicious food made with fresh ingredients and then have some fun! Their outdoor patio seating overlooks a lawn filled with games for all to enjoy. So mom and dad can unwind by the fire pit while the little ones play yard games and even take on a putting green! Sounds like the perfect place for a family to me!

Southern Grill

800 Flagler Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32207

If burgers are sounding good right about now, you need to plan a trip to Southern Grill! This restaurant has been a staple in the community since the 90s, offering delicious food you won’t mind eating again and again. They specialize in elevated bar food such as burgers or chicken wings. You can also come by during breakfast and get pancake stacks or giant omelets.
