Where to Shop for your Maternity Photography Session
When planning for your Jacksonville maternity photography session I am sure one of the most pressing questions you’ll have is, “What do I wear??” Don’t worry, I am here to help.
With maternity portraits, there are generally two silhouettes that are universally flattering: long & flowy and form fitting. Long & flowy dresses are usually pretty comfortable, very easy to create movement in and help give an ethereal look to your photographs. Form fitting dresses help accentuate that growing bump and are also very comfortable.
Soft colors, patterns and fabrics are my favorites for maternity photograph sessions. The boho look is still very on trend, but please make sure to pick a dress that naturally fits your style! Also, think of the location that we will be shooting in when choosing your outfits. Beach session? A long, flowing dress in light colors looks best. Washington Oaks Park? You can go either way with something soft and neutral or a bit more bold and colorful. If you want to shoot in one of the many urban Jacksonville areas, go ahead and pick a bold color and form fitting dress if it matches your personality. I will help you decide what type of dress and color is best for each location, as well as make sure that you feel confident in it!

HATCH - The always have such a beautiful collection of maternity dresses. There is a good mix of flowing and form fitting options. Some of my favorites are The Fete Gown, The Sarah Dress, and The Body Tank Dress.
PINK BLUSH - Another favorite that has a wide selection of maternity dress options. I love this off the shoulder dress, this tie strap dress, and this high low dress. They also have a large selection of photography gowns, if you want to go for a more formal look.
ASOS - Looking for something a bit more fashion forward or trendy? While I usually suggest staying away from super trendy items, but these can also be very fun! Especially if you are a fashion forward person yourself. If it fits you and your personal style and personality - go for it! How amazing is this long sleeve wrap maxi in tangerine??
TARGET - How can I make a list of favorites without including Target?? You know and love them well, and heck - you’ll probably be there anyway so you can easily pick a dress up there! This white flutter sleeve dress is perfection. And this striped flutter sleeve dress is so cute. So many fun options!
MAMA BUMP RENTALS - Want to get a beautiful dress for your maternity photography session but know you will never wear it again? Mama Bump Rentals is a fantastic option! Think Rent the Runway - but for maternity wear! They have a huge selection of gowns from top maternity designers such are Sew Trendy, J&L Designs Boutique and Reclamation.
