Top 5 Questions Moms Ask Before Booking a Family Photography Session

1. What should we wear for our family photos?
This is hands-down the most frequent question I get, and for good reason—coordinating outfits for the whole family can feel daunting. My advice? Start with a color palette of 2-3 complementary tones. Neutral colors with soft accents (like blush, sage, or navy) photograph beautifully. Avoid loud patterns or logos that can distract from your family’s connection.

2. What if my kids don’t cooperate during the session?

3. When is the best time of year to schedule our session?
This depends on your goals. If you want your photos done in time for holiday cards and gifts, aim for October or early November. Spring sessions are perfect for soft blooms and fresh greenery, while early summer is great for gorgeous beach sessions.
