Have I ever mentioned that lifestyle newborn photography is my jam? First, let’s clear up what “lifestyle newborn photography” really is. It’s pretty simple. All it means is that I take a lifestyle approach to photographing newborns and their family. All newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your own home. While I do direct some poses with family members, it’s only to create connection. You’ll never find a baby in a bucket at any of my newborn photography sessions.

Capturing this fleeting time for new parents is one of my utmost pride and joys. Needless to say, much of this family’s 2018 was fulled with anticipation of their baby girl’s arrival. And all that time was worth the wait. To say that they are completely smitten with her would be an understatement! I truly don’t think I have ever seen a prouder big brother. He is totally ready to be a lifelong friend and protector of his baby sister.

Lifestyle newborn photography speaks to my soul. It takes place in the comfort of your own home. You don’t need to pack up all 4390549 things you need for newborns (let alone what other family members might need) and worry about being late. I come straight to your house and do all the work. And there’s no reason to stress if baby won’t sleep. Lifestyle newborn photography captures your family just how it is right now. No complicated poses or stress. If baby falls asleep – GREAT! But if not, there’s no need to worry. Baby Violet was awake for most of her session and it turned out beautifully. There is plenty of time feedings and diaper changes.

As a fair warning, I will climb all over your furniture to get great shots and I’m definitely going to open up all of your curtains and blinds 😉
