I look forward to school photo day all year. The kids are so, so sweet and cute and it’s such a fun challenge to get some really fun expressions and smiles from their faces in 2-3 minutes. I did these school photos for a wonderful Montessori preschool in the fall. They have the sweetest little school and all of the children that go there are absolute gems.

The fun thing about these modern, classic school photography is that a) there are no cheesy backgrounds and b) no forced smiles. Most kiddos end up giving me a big old smile (or two or three!) but if they aren’t feeling it, I don’t force them. Sometimes a soulful look into the camera or a shy expression will better represent your child over a forced grin.

All school photography sessions are completely digital, meaning that your kids order form won’t be lost in a cubby or locker. School Portrait Day can take place in the fall or the spring, whatever works best for your schools schedule.
